Help us take home the top prize in this bracket style fundraising tournament. The Helotes Humane Society is “competing” with 31 other animal rescue groups from around the country. The best thing is, no matter how far we go in the tournament, our animals still win because all funds raised will go directly to medical care (vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, etc).
There are a total of six rounds and each is contested separately; we will post the results of each round as they finish and let you know if we’ve advanced to the next round.
The Warm-Up Round runs from 9:00 am February 27th to 9:00 pm March 2.

Helotes Humane Society
The Helotes Humane Society’s mission is to promote the benevolent treatment of animals and provide humane education. Our group takes in neglected, abandoned, and unwanted dogs and cats. We spay and neuter them, medically treat them, and get them ready for adoption. We use a network of foster homes to provide them with love and care where they can experience, some for the first time, what it is like to live as a member of a family. We firmly believe that the best prospect for improving the treatment of our companion animals is educating the public by giving them the information they need to become better pet owners. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to placing unwanted animals in Helotes, Texas and the surrounding San Antonio community into loving, forever homes and are not associated with or funded by any governmental agency; the vast majority of our funding comes through private donations and grants. You can help by adopting a dog or cat, donating or volunteering!
Since our founding in 2008 we have taken in over 6,100 animals and have gotten over 5,800 of them adopted. Our highest priority is finding the right home for every animal that comes through our organization.
We also operate the Second Chances Thrift Shop where all items sold are donated to us and all proceeds go to help the animals in our care.
