She thrives in an active home with a securely fenced yard where she can run, play, and burn off that classic Husky energy. Even better? She’d love a playful dog companion her size to help keep her entertained and happy. After a good day of exercise, she’s more than ready to relax and soak up affection from her people.
Her ideal home:
Is experienced with Huskies or similar breeds
Has a large, secure yard (6 ft wooden fence)
Can provide daily runs, hikes, and enrichment
Includes another playful dog companion
Has no cats (Brie isn’t a fan)
Brie has specific dietary needs and must be fed a grain-free salmon-based dog food.

As a small non-profit organization, we rely heavily on donations and volunteers to fulfill our mission.
It’s kitten and puppy season already!
Please consider donating or volunteering to help with all the new litters coming in. We need donations for every stage of our fosters’ lives and foster individuals and families to help out in all stages as well (from bottle babies to seniors — we have a stage that fits you!).
Donations provide the support for medical care, food, and necessary supplies for our foster animals. Check out our ways to donate here.
Volunteers help us foster animals, run adoption events, plan fundraisers, maintain our facilities, sort donations, answer phones, create materials, and a myriad of other tasks. Interested in joining our team of volunteers, complete an application and we will help you find the right spot for your skills and talents.
Second Chances Thrift Shop is a hidden treasure that helps support the Helotes Humane Society. If you are looking for that special unique item you won’t find at the big box stores, come visit us! You’ll find everything from books, clothing, and household items to antiques and collectibles. We do the sorting, you do the discovering!

Our Mission
Helotes Humane Society
The Helotes Humane Society’s mission is to promote the benevolent treatment of animals and provide humane education. Our group takes in neglected, abandoned, and unwanted dogs and cats. We spay and neuter them, medically treat them, and get them ready for adoption. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to placing unwanted animals in Helotes, Texas and the surrounding San Antonio community into loving, forever homes. You can help by adopting a dog or cat, donating or volunteering!
