City of Helotes Pet Wellness & Vaccination Clinic from 11 am to 3 pm at Helotes City Hall (12951 Bandera Rd). Vaccinations, microchipping, and more. HHS will be onsite hosting a pet adoption clinic — you might just meet your new best friend.

The Helotes Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to placing unwanted animals in loving homes. All of our animals receive age-appropriate vaccinations, testing, a microchip, and spay/neuter surgery if needed.
Helotes Humane Society is a foster-based rescue with the majority of our adoptable pets residing in foster homes. We are not a shelter, so we do not usually have adoptable pets at our office location. To meet one of our adoptable pets, please complete an application (no obligation) to connect with our foster team.

Cornyval Booth Volunteers Needed!
We need volunteers to represent HHS in our booth at Cornyval. Sign up to work a two-hour shift and help get the word out about our rescue and our rescue pets! Want to help but not a current volunteer? Complete the volunteer application and sign up for the shift of your choice.
As a small non-profit organization, we rely heavily on volunteers to foster animals, run adoption events, plan fundraisers, maintain our facilities, sort donations, answer phones, create materials, and a myriad of other tasks. Interested in joining our team of volunteers, complete an application and we will help you find the right spot for your skills and talents.
Second Chances Thrift Shop is a hidden treasure that helps support the Helotes Humane Society. If you are looking for that special unique item you won’t find at the big box stores, come visit us! You’ll find everything from books, clothing, and household items to antiques and collectibles. We do the sorting, you do the discovering!
